Blue Key recognizes deserving students who have a demonstrated record of success and excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. Blue Key salutes observable meritorious achievement and continued growth, development, and leadership by example. Blue Key recognizes the uppermost percentile of students who have a distinguished and balanced record in all areas.
Each year, the typical initiation class ranges from sixty-five to seventy new members. The members of Blue Key consciously keep the organization small by design, yet the members hold a variety of campus leadership positions year after year.
Dues and Fees
Because membership in Blue Key is an honor, there are no dues or initiation fees.
Becoming a Member
Potential Blue Key members are nominated by school/college deans, senior administrators and Blue Key members and are then selected by current student members and advisors. Students may not nominate themselves nor is there an application process.
